OUR MISSION is to seek the will of God in:

     Presenting the gospel of Jesus Christ to the lost

     Providing opportunities of growth and service for believers

     Proclaiming the love of God to our church, our community, and our world

Baptist Temple is a church family with vision, passion, and power, willing to take risks
to advance the Kingdom of Jesus Christ in accordance with the Great Commission. (Mathew 28:19-20)

OUR VISION is to awaken and ignite the greatest possible activity in worship, evangelism, missions, Christian education, and benevolent work and enterprises.

OUR PASSION is to make disciples of Jesus Christ through joyful worship, through spiritual nurture, and through compassionate outreach to Texas and throughout the world. We are committed to carrying out the Great commission through prayer, worship, discipleship, and evangelism.

OUR POWER comes from our Lord Jesus Christ through the power of the Holy Spirit We recognize that we cannot accomplish any worthy deed in our own strength. But if we daily submit our lives to Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit will transform us from the inside out.

We will take risks; to advance His kingdom, through spiritual growth, love for all peoples in accordance with the Great Commandment, breaking down racial, gender, and denominational barriers, demonstrating the power of biblical unity We will cultivate a closer cooperation among all churches and promote harmony of feeling and concert of action in advancing all the interests of the Redeemer’s kingdom.

Baptist Temple, as a church family, will move its vision into action through the following undertakings:

WORSHIP

• Boldly explore ways of worshiping Him more joyfully, providing a deeper and meaningful connection to God. We will prayerfully seek Jesus’ will to find worship that draws more people to Him.

• Blend a mixture of music and worship styles with prayerful compassion and sensitivity to all.

• Promote and nurture a feeling of belonging and “worship for all.”

 BIBLE STUDY

• Provide Christian education that is sensitive to the needs of our congregation such that every person is ministered to and nurtured through caring fellowship and growth by the power of the Gospel.

•  Seek new opportunities to improve our Bible study programs providing exciting and challenging studies while preserving the best traditions of our Christian education legacy.

•  Expand Christian education beyond our walls to homes, neighborhoods, new churches, wherever the need Is found. We will follow Him wherever He leads through prayer and through guidance by the Holy Spirit.

 EVANGELISM

• Seek new evangelistic opportunities and develop innovative programs to the lost.

• Improve communication between our church and the world.

• Educate, empower, and encourage Baptist Temple Christians to freely share with the lost their testimony of what God is doing in their lives.

 MISSIONS/MINISTRY

• Continue to develop and actively promote existing Missions and Ministries.

• Seek new opportunities that minister to the physical, spiritual, emotional, and socialneeds of all peoples.

• Empower and encourage everyone to share their spiritual gifts by participating in, and supporting at least one ministry.

 FELLOWSHIP

• Provide a variety of opportunities to assemble and develop meaningful friendships.

• Promote and maintain a warm and friendly environment to welcome members and guests.
